Meet one of our graduates:

Kathy Tan leads with one mission: to empower others to live unapologetically, lead authentically, and be the best version of themselves they can be. She believes it’s our duty to help others navigate the power within themselves in spite of the circumstances they may face and to become productive members of their communities. She is the innovator and founder of Amalu Coaching, LLC @amalucoaching - a woman-owned, LA-based small business that empowers change and creates safe spaces for loved ones of abuse in the AAPI community and beyond.

Kathy has 6 years of experience as a Leadership Coach with an equity & trauma-informed background working with individuals and groups of all ages nationally on personal and professional leadership development. Her experience spans across sectors including education, non-profit, youth development, and social justice organizations.

She is a 1st generation Chinese, Filipina American, daughter of immigrants, sister, certified CA domestic violence peer counselor, traveler, and dancer. She has her M.A. in Social Entrepreneurship & Change and her B.A. in Psychology.
